COVID-19 Update

Dear Southwood Family,

This is a brief update and change to what we communicated yesterday. Thanks for your patience. We will move to ONLINE ONLY worship services beginning tomorrow, March 15, and continuing through at least next Sunday, March 22. We will communicate further decisions as we have them.

We hope you will join with us online at 9:30am tomorrow if you’re able for what will be an adjusted worship service from what we usually do but nonetheless a significant time for our Church Family together to turn our eyes to God and our neighbors. The Live stream of the service can be accessed at southwood.org/watchlive. We will email a PDF outline to help you participate with us in this service either tonight or in the morning. See you online!

Ways to Serve
We are monitoring a variety of ways to minister to our neighbors and Huntsville community. If you know of particular needs or opportunities, please email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).

1. Checking on Elderly: Call to see if there are needs you can help meet while high-risk members of our church family and community stay at home. Chat and pray with them over the phone while many are unable to receive visitors at this time.

2. Feeding Children: When our extended school closing begins, this will present additional challenges for some children whose primary meals come at school. We will stay up to speed with our city leaders on ways help is needed.

3. Feeding Homeless: Similarly, food banks and other large suppliers of food may have to make adjustments or need additional volunteers. We are monitoring these needs, too.
