Jobs for Life: Getting Involved

Jobs for Life: Getting Involved

Jobs for Life is many things. It is a biblically based jobs preparedness program. It offers participants hope and dignity through a renewed understanding of work, and it offers the local church the opportunity to advocate for the jobless and underemployed in our community. However, the foundation of Jobs for Life is ultimately relationships.

As believers, our relationship with Christ compels us outward to share His love and grace through word and deed. This requires relationships. In Jobs for Life, we invite people to enter into a number of different relationships for the blessing of others. Some will form relationships within their business community—creating a network of businesses who want to hire our Jobs for Life graduates. Others will form one-on-one relationships with a Jobs for Life student, encouraging and supporting them through the entire course and for years to come as they seek meaningful employment. Still others will bring their small group friends together to serve a meal at Jobs for Life, or pray particularly for one of our students. However you get involved, we want you to be drawn further into relationship with our Heavenly Father and with your neighbors.

I hope these pictures give you a glimpse into the relationships forged in our Jobs for Life class last fall. God does amazing things through relationships; I hope you’ll consider joining us this fall to experience His transforming grace through Jobs for Life.
