ANNOUNCEMENTS

High-Life Staff

Peter Render Email Peter Assistant Pastor, Youth/Families
Peter Render Peter moved with his family to Huntsville in 2016. He is a youth ministry lifer with his experience beginning when he was 15 and formed the youth group in his home church on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. He has been involved in vocational youth ministry since 2000. He studied for his MDiv and his MA in Counseling at Covenant Theological Seminary. Peter’s goal in youth and family’s ministry is that the families involved experience the grace of Jesus Christ in being known by their Heavenly Father and to express that grace by knowing others in that way. Peter and Emily, along with their children Charlie, Hosea, Miles, Whit, and Susannah are involved with the community of South Huntsville through home-school co-op, public school PTA, Lilly Flagg pool, American League baseball, Twickenham kids, and the Huntsville youth choral.
Christine Betts Email Christine Assistant Director of Youth and Families
Christine BettsChristine is from Lookout Mountain where she was raised with three older siblings in a Christian home. She was very active in youth group growing up and knew she wanted to be in church youth ministry in her future. Her desire to be in ministry and play soccer at the collegiate level led her to attend Bryan College. Christine got her degree in Biblical Studies and then was able to enjoy starting her Masters in Christian Ministry, being a part of her soccer team, working with Student Life in intramurals, and being a RA while at Bryan. Christine met her husband Andrew in college. Christine loves watching and playing sports, baking and eating cookies, watching Netflix and being outside, reading and writing stories, going on walks and playing the ukulele.
Kim Delchamps Email Kim Administrative Assistant of High-Life Ministries
Kim DelchampsKim was born in Mobile, AL where both her parents were both born and raised. Being a military kid, she moved multiple times before her dad retired in Huntsville, AL. Huntsville has been her home since 1986. She began working at Southwood as the receptionist just before the church made the move to our current facility. It has been a great 20+ years! Outside of work, she enjoys being with friends which may include shopping, going to movies, playing tennis or just visiting in their homes while their children play. Kim loves her friend's children and you can often see her in Target with other's kids in tow.
